  1. THANK YOU! I’m in Italy and my 6 month old kitten accidentally grabbed a piece of mashed garlic from my pasta sauce and I freaked out. I asked Chatgpt and was told it’s extremely toxic and take her immediately to a vet. Also told she would get Heinz Anemia. I was so panicked I started researching the internet hoping to get some updated info. and of course you showed up! I’m so grateful. I was litterally about to have nervous breakdown thinking she was going to die or be slowly poisoned with some disease down the road. It’s time to start debunking this stuff because the myth is more dangerous than the garlic. Medical profession on all fronts loves to scare the crap out of us with faulty studies and really bad information. I think of all the cats before all these studies came out that ate garlic or onion and no one thought anything of it and I had never heard of anyone’s cat dying from eating it. Pretty sure here in Italy cats and dogs are exposed to garlic for decades! I cannot thank you enough Dr.J !!

  3. I thought that the aging process used for making aged garlic extract removes the allicin? So how can AGE have allicin?

  4. So I have my dog on a raw diet but I want to incorporate the garlic he’s 65 lb golden retriever when I cut the garlic up and leave it out for 10 minutes to get the allicin effect is it okay to just cut it instead of crush it? Does it have the same effect like in small pieces? Also what about the storage of it.. I would like to cut it all at once because when I have to cut it it takes time so are you able to store it in the fridge for a couple of days orbcan you right away and that’s it?

  5. What about clove? Everwhere I looked they say is toxic for cats, maby thats also not true.
